Not sure if there is an official manner of handling game threads, but since I am up and there does not seem to be one yet I figured I would give it a shot.

I think Utah lost to Houston last night. If we continue to play defense like we did in Los Angeles and our offense catches up to us we should get a win.

Utah has a good team. I am a fan of Okur, Boozer and Korver.

Should be a fun game to watch.

The unwritten rule around here is make sure the game thread is time-stamped with the day of the game, which you did. Some folks around here will think the game is jinxed if posted any earlier! (you could post the night before as long as the computer's time is after midnight)

Go Mavs!

They played yesterday so us being well rested should be able to handle them. The only key is stopping Boozer from having his way on both sides of the court. If we can limit his productivity i think we should have this in the bag. They do have talent though so this should make for a interesting match up.
Mavs 112-94

If I know nothing else....I know that the Utah Jazz can't win on the road and the Mavs are going to destroy them tonight.

wow, guys, I know they'll play back-to-back after yesterdays loss, and yes, their recent defense was not as good (or should I rather say tough) as one can expect from the Jazz. However, we should not underestimate Deron Williams and his ability to carry his team. The last games those teams played were all pretty close.

How is this for an appetizer

If I'm up to watch the game (2:30 in Europe), I'll post some links...

GO MAVS

Mavs 96
Jazz 94

p.s. please, dirk, don't get ejected ;)

I fought Dallas will be much scoring team and they will lose more points, but they are nearly worst scoring team and good in defense :/

Dallas will win it
and I just want more than 110 points, better field goal percentage by Mavs.

Really hard to call on this one, with our terrible shooting as of late, that could make for a real nail biter in this one. Also, Deron Williams has the ability to take over a game and control the flow, so the Mavs defense will need to slow him down or he could dominate this game. I think some key matchups for tonight's game are obviously Kidd vs. Williams, but Humphries vs. Milsap. Milsap is guy who comes in and really can take over a game for the Jazz if things are rolling so....we will really need to be active tonight. Hoping for a win go Mavs.

We should beat Utah here at home. I'd expect a nailbiter on the road.

So there's a few distractions around the team right now.. the Popeye thing, the Gooden controversy.. in case you dont know: http://sports.espn.go.com/dallas/nba/ne ... AHeadlines

It would be a big boost to get a nice win tonight.. makes these other things pretty insignificant.
Speaking of Gooden, he will not play tonight.

We must look pass the distractions and get a win tonight
a second straight home lost could be disastrous for us trying to earn some respect across the league

Put Kidd on a Triple Double Watch... has 4 RB in the first 6 min.

I like the fact that we can shoot 33% from the field and be down by 3
Defense is Key

I can't believe this! We couldn't buy a bucket..everyone looked like they lubed their hands with WD40 before the game! But how can you be mad at the Mavs when the defense looks like this!..

DIRK FOR MVP

we've all seen Dirk go into this mode before. Tonight it was different.. just mentally , he had a demeanor and look in his eye..very killer instinct. I think all critics can kiss his ass.

TEAM defense was great.

DAMP coming through! Wow. Contract year baby! Remember his last year at GS.

MVP!

MVP!

Incredible..and there's more where that came from with Dirk this season, believe it.
